Recognise a blocked connection

Understand

An IP address identifies a device. A port identifies a service. A firewall allows or blocks connections using rules. HTTPS is encrypted web traffic, usually on port 443.

Example

Made-up firewall record: laptop → training.example, destination port 443, action BLOCK. The record tells us the firewall stopped this attempt; it does not prove why the rule exists.

1. What happened to this connection?
2. Explain why you would not call this a confirmed attack.

English, Hindi or a mix. The two checks are marked; this note is kept without an AI grade.
